Well started the calling around all the parts stores and they are all about the same price 225.00 for the hub assembly. called my buddy that works for dodge up in jersey. told me what brand name mopar use's. called the dealer and they are 150.00 bucks. guess where I'm going to get the hubs from. Now i will have to find the time to get over to the cycle shop and press the hub out of the rotor and press it back in

Oh maroon after i get up some money i will be getting the free spin kit. thanks for the link.

hey 2damnyankee, I'm a certified Dodge tech and work in a dealer, after seeing your picture, with the tire/wheel combo it doesn't matter what brand of bearing you go with your always going to have a problem. if your back spacing on the wheel is different from stock its going to put too much pressure on the bearings and cause them to fail. I found that out with my '99 Ram 2500 I took the bigger wheels and tires off and put stock back on and stopped having the bearing problems.

i understand what you are saying sanford,But i am not going to take off these tires and wheels. Also what about these other guys having the same problem and they have stock wheels on there trucks.

Now when i lived up north and and where i had to park the truck behind my garage it had a step in front of the right tire, So to get out I had to run into it and hit the curb to get out.
Now the first 3 hubs I had blamed it on that step but now that i live in the south with a driveway I coundn't understand how this could have went out this fast in 3 yrs living down here, I barely drive the truck except to tow the boat or my enclosed trailer. Im lucky to put 300 miles on my truck in a month sometimes, sometimes i dont even drive it for 2 month except for move it around the driveway to wash it..

I wasn't saying to take off the wheels and tires, the only reason I did is 'cause I needed new tires and thats when I reliezed my bearings started lasting longer. Something else you could look at is if your caster/camber is in spec. If you have changed your ball joints before you started having bearing problems then the sleave that the upper ball joint goes into could be out of adjustment 'causing a strain on the bearings. Really from working in the dealer I haven't seen a good reason why they go out, just that Dodge has a bad design on the front end of their trucks, and any minor modification to the suspension will cause problems. I've been lately seeing the bearings last on my truck, when I had bigger tires, last anywhere from 30,000-40,000 miles, now I had some lower mile bearings go out and have seen them go out sooner. If your bearings arn't lasting more then 15,000 then I would have it put on a alignment machine and see if you have something bent or out of wack in the front end.

sanford yes you are correct but i just had it aligned when i did the new thurans track bar so i know it its true from front to the back. I had made them do a 4 wheel alignment instead of a 2 wheel ( which is what they wanted to do), Plus i had them align it with the larger tires on instead of my stock ones.

JB weld?
or duct tape

as far as the freespin kit goes, im waiting on getting my next truck to do that, i can't see putting that much money in a truck im gonna have for only a few more years most likely, but next one is getting it, plus it helps with fuel economy, and possibly with my fat ***, actually having to get out of the truck once in a while to lock the hubs

that spray can in the top of the picture is the reason it wouldnt come out easily. if you had used a good penetrating fluid then you wouldn't need a new rotor.
nice pic btw, did a little dribble come out when that thing let loose?
