I think i've listened to your truck on youtube and it sounds nice. Just too loud for what i want though. Does anyone have a flowmaster 40 series muffler on the stock tailpipe? I think that is the sound i want but still not sure

I have a vid of a single in dual out flow 40 on youtube. If you find the right vid everything else is stock. I took vids after every exhaust mod. My name on there is MysteryMachineGT

i got a cherry bomb muff on stock pipe with a single tip.. i like the sound but want duals and side exits behind the tires...... thinking a flowmaster setup with a punched out or removed cat may do the trick.

IT all depends on what you like. Personally, I can't see paying that much for a basic glass pack (magnaflow). Like some of the others, I'm partial to FM myself. I know many people have it stuck in their head that FM mufflers flow close to stock. That may be true, but lets face it, unless you plan on some wicked mods later down the road, modding the exhaust is just for aesthetic reasons. I have yet to do an exhaust vid on my truck, and I can if you want. It has dual FM 40's.

Talk to JasonW if you are interested in just replacing the stock muffler and leaving the factory pipes where they are. I think he did that on his truck.

I liked my Dynomax. Nice rumble outside but quiet inside. Now I have a FM 50 and it's a little loud for me inside the cab. But it does have more flow. It pops now in 4L.

Something else to keep in mind. Loud mufflers can be substantially be quieted down by just being picky as to where you place it. My FM 40s are loud as hell, and in an attempt to quiet them down, I mou ted them as far away from the cab as possible. Mine are damn near touching the rear axle. This makes the cab quiet while cruising the highway, but it's still loud on WOT runs.

I have a FM 50 series with a magnaflow cat and the stock tailpipe, and I love how it sounds. Not the loudest but it sounds great at idle and WOT. I get complements on it all the time. I think the high flow cat adds a lot to the over all sound, so you might want to look into getting one of those
