Default track bar and steering

I am new here so HI to all.

I have a 98 ram 1500 it has a bds 5 inch 3 inch body 2 inch coil spacer and 2 inch add a leafs sitting on 38 swampers. my track bar is goin bad and while i'm at it i figured i would replace tie rod ends and every movable joint up front.I want to put some strong components up front. (the stock stuff sucks!!!) What track bar, tie rod ends, ball joints... are the strongest and will last the longest. i have a drop bracket for the track bar, but i will do away with that if i can find a strong adjustable bar. let me know any and all opinions.

i am also putting gears front and rear. should i go with 4.56 or 4.88 i tow a trailer alot and the 38's weigh 105lbs each plus the pro comp simulock rims so i am moving some rotating wieght.

i can't seem to add pics for some reason.

Get a trackbar update bracket to get rid of that crappy balljoint style thats on there. DT fabrication sells one and they are out here in Prescott AZ. And go with 4.88s on the gears.

I would go with Moog Suspension parts, they are super strong and come with a lifetime warranty. As for the gears I'd go with the 4.88 with the 38's, there is a website out there that you can see what size tires and gears to go with for the most torque or highway speeds. I'll try to get that and post it for you.

I would consider modding your hubs to run the 99 3500 crossover sterring and ditch the junk 1500 stuff. You will need to ream out the ends to make the tie rods fit. You're kinda limited on track bars because Thuren isn't making his at the moment. so DT is your only choice.

I would suggest the 4.88's if you're staying with the larger tires and all that lift. As for the front end parts, I also suggest Moog.

As for making it a better without spending a lot of extra money for it, I suggest the following thread on PS for an excellent suggestion.

This is what I did on mine just this past weekend and I'm VERY happy with it! I reused the sleeve as was mentioned, but the other parts I got just as was listed.

As for the track bar, my truck has a "Superlift" bracket that allows the use of the factory bar. I am still using a factory bar for now, but I may end up changing to something better in the future, depending upon how often I have to replace it.
