Plenty of threads posted on this subject man. If you search for crank position sensor you should find what your looking for.

Its hard to get to they say...Its on the passenger side of the truck behind the engine on top of the bellhousing.

careful, you may have removed the wire from the oil pressure sending unit. its a black vertical tube about 3 or 4 inches tall, just to the left of the distributor.

you're close, but dig deeper.

you're right Dhvaughn. I pulled the wrong wire. I finally got to it and replaced the unit. What a freaking pain in the ****...now I know why my mechanic said it ain't no fun since they put the computer's in cars. Now all I have to do is fire it up and see if that solved my stalling issues. Thanks to all who provided input.

Never buy your parts at Autoclone. What they do is buy seconds. I went though- lets's see, I think it was around 3 T-stats before I got really f-ing pissed off and went back in there where I finally was told "hey, don't buy our T-stats". "They are all over the place as far as temp ratings are concerned"

Those T-stats are made in Mexico and, like most of the stuff made down there- it doesn't work for ****.
