i heading out to pick n pull this weekend for their bi-annual 1/2 off sale.

i wanted to know if the things i want will fit on my 2nd gen. im gonna be pulling everything off other 2nd gens too.

i want:

a cat
tranny cooler
pillar mount guages
headlight
towing mirrors
a dash

if theres a cheap tranny then that too


do i have to pull these parts off a '97 only or and 2nd gen year will do?

also would any other gen work for these parts. (ie: towing mirrors, pillar mount, cat)

 

Stay pre 1999. To mirrors are killer I had them at one point.

 

also, what about roof mounted cab lights. how do i take those off? should i trace the wire back to the ground and battery?

and can i take those off any truck?

 

they are all the same, but i would just buy some new ones, much easier, and not too expensive

I don't think you'll find a pillar pod, or gauges for that matter but you never know.

Bear in mind a dash that is not cracked now, might after you get it. My Ram is an 01 and its cracked.

 

Pink and pull? Is that like a junkyard with a stripper pole?

Hate to burst your bubble, but the only thing you'll be able to find is a tranny cooler and the headlights (If your lucky)
I go to 3 pick n pulls every other weekend, as well as other different bone yards and it's very rare to find pillar gauges or tow mirrors.

Where are you located? Also, bone yards aren't allowed to sell Cats. What they do is sell the cats as scrap and make there money that way. Best of luck though. I you can get those parts, more power to you! Oh, and the dash would have to come off of a 94-97 ram.
