I had the same thing happen to me in a sears parking lot. I also dealt with it the same way, hammers are great tools aren't they? This was about a month ago, and I haven't had another problem yet, so I don't know if that was just a fluke or what.

Bad luck dude, but seriously 5 girls? Are you freaking crazy!? That's what WIVES are for! No way would I put my mind in harms way like that. I said good-by the giggling girls way back when and have never looked back. They drove me crazy when I was a kid, let alone now that I am a certified cranky old fart! When my daughter has to go out with friends, I will simply hand it over to the wife. That's why she has a 4 door SUV, mine are all 2 doors, HA!

 

Mine usually sticks and I just have to turn the steering wheel to unlock it.

 

I dunno, I have a blast with little girls, trying to see who can out goof each other is fun.
I get involved with some serious $hit on my jobs, I need something like that for balance. They can instantly turn my whole day around, from terrible to great.
In fact, once my girls get up in their teens, I want to have some more.
I would barely feel functional without a little chick in my life.

As far as my latest problem, went camping today [yup, with a buttload of kids] with many starts, worked like a charm all day.
I took my security bit set, just in case I had to yank it out on the go.
I'll probably just slap the covers back on, then wait until it completely screws me until I do anything about it.
But out of curiosity, I'll call around and see what the availability is like for these, I've read a couple threads here that say they are near impossible to get - But that seemed to be for newer models, don't know if it applies to older 2nd gens.
