Those would be the same, but the best one to get is either a ram air or CAI setup. those are just hot air intakes.

Today when I was putting on my TB spacer I noticed that the back mounting tabs on the air box were broken off and the airbox wasn't sealing all the way so I purchased this kit... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT off of ebay. It was 115 shipped but it had the K&N filter. I was at an auto parts store today and they were selling K&N filters for 60 bux so another 55 for the piping and mounting isn't too bad.

As long as you draw in air from outside the engine compartment, you'll have a true CAI effect. The "heat shields" I've seen aren't worth the money...

im not talking about some premade heat shield. i was picturing the pipe being like 4 feet up to the front behind the passenger headlight. and then making a shirld around the filter.

What do all of you suggest. What does any one know about the hyper tech or jet chip. I have seen cheeper ones on ebay. I am concerened about messing with my computer
but I want the mods. to work together. thanks for any imput.

ok, i just fiddled with mine a bit, i had to move the hole in the center forward 7/8 inch, then get my own threaded rod, and it worked. It sticks straight out to the pass. side. I plan own adding a bend in it to move it own out towards the pass. headlamp to get cooler air, any more ideas?
