Thats what im wondering.. Anyone ever bought one? I mean, the filter is more then the whole kit usually. Flimsy?? Well, for 35 bucks it might be worth it. What does some of the others go for.. Like 130-250 bucks?

That is gonna be a hot air intake. The ones you are seeing for $100 + are probally true CAI. If all you are looking for is the look and sound the $35 are fine. They will give you a little power increase, but not too much

A bunch of guys on a Honda forum I visit use them as pipe is pipe so there is no differnce in the piping so they buy those and buy a K&N filter and put on it and it still is a lot cheaper than a K&N intake and you get the same power gains. A few of them have tested them all and determined there is no differnce in these with a good filter and the more expensive ones. One a few of the kits people have replaced the clamps also but nto on all of them and that is something that doesn't cost much either.

Basically all there is to an intake is pipe and clamps holding it all together and a filter. Not much differnt about those between name brand one except for the filter.
