Default Still bouncing

Last time I posted a thread my 01 ram 1500 was bouncing after putting new tires on it. I had changed all four shocks, tie rods, and passenger side front axle joint. Then I changed a slightly bent rim and changed the tires again. Still bouncing at around 45 mph. Could worn ball joints cause a bouncing? Anymore ideas would be helpfull. Thanks.

What exactly do you mean when you say "changed" the tires? Completely new ones? Just rotated? Re-balanced?

I cant imagine its the ball joints, but I suppose anything is possible. Sounds like a tire issue to me.

Can you describe this "bouncing" better . Are you refering to DW (death wobble) . Frt or rear ? Can you feel it in the steering whl ? When did this start happening and what was done to the truck at that time ? What caused the bent rim ?

I agree , so far anyways , tire/wheel problem . If it's DW , it could be , out of balance tires , bent wheels , warped rotors , bad control arm bushings , sway bar mount bushings , or any steering componant (which would be obvious and really bad to cause it) and the most probable cause , track bars . Plus more I'm sure .

Details please , put us in the driver's seat and describe what's happening !

Sounds like it just needs a good balancing.

Default still bouncing

Originally had to heat and beat the rear wheels to get them off to change the tires, had those tires rotated and balanced three times, changed the items I mentioned and then put on another set of new tires. I feel the bouncing in the seat and at my feet around 45 mph, it is intermittent. At higher speeds it gets a little rough but is tollerable. When I hit a pothole or mancover etc. it feels like the truck is bouncing for a few seconds after hitting it. I had the track bar looked at, they told me it was ok. I can feel a little vibration in the steering wheel but not much.

heating rims up is not a good idea.
how would severely worn out leaf springs act?
find a friend with a ram that will let you borrow 2 wheels so you can take the two that you heated up off and take the 2 good wheels for a test drive.

that sounds more like a loose ball joint or a loose track bar to me. The best way to look at the tie rod end of the track bar is to take it loose and check it other wise it isn't a good check. I had the same problem with my '99 Ram when I hit bumps it bounced all over the place, replaced the Track bar and Ball joints, due to being worn out and the bounce went away.

Could these components cause a bouncing feeling under your feet at around 45mph?

In the same boat as OP. Old tires balanced... tried New tires, rims, alignment, shocks, then I swapped for a stiffer set of shocks in the back etc. Still have the same exact bounce the OP describes. I was also told my trackbar was fine when it went in for alignment. After replaceing all of the above, I kind of gave up on it... but by doing so I now have a slight leak starting at the transfercase yoke. From all the bouncing, the yoke goes in and out constantly and I guess the seal said enough is enough. It is an easy fix, but I just need to get some time.

Heating up the rims? Did you have them balanaced after that. I bet you warped the rim. Have them do a spin balanace on them, Once they spin them, You will kow if you have a wheel/tire problem.
