Default Help With Front Coil Lift

Hey guys/gals im new here and just have a few questons about my truck, i searched about a billion times but did not find my anwser. i have a 2001 1500 5.9l ext cab stock (for now) i bought a pair of 1997 2500 V10 coils. and as i searched that should give me about 3in lift. my question is 1, will thay fit? even tho thay are 1997 V10 and I have a 2001 V8? and 2, do you think i need a drop down pitnam arm? And do you guys recomend any good cheap shocks to go along with it? and btw i plan on doing an add a leaf for the rear if that helps. THANKS And sorry for the poor grammer i stink at it lol.

The shocks I would recomend are good, but not cheap. Sorry I don't associate those words together. But I digress, I would recomend Bilstiens, They have a shock for lifted trucks that works very well. Sorry the exact part number escapes me at the moment.

Yes they'll fit. No you don't need a drop pitman. Bilstein or Trailmaster SSV

Awesome. that’s not bad. ill have to whate on next paycheck to get em. but u think it’s a good idea to drive around with the lift and stock shocks for a couple weeks? i dive most highways and bout 30mi a day. i plan on doing the lift in the next day or so and cash is tight right now, so i might whate on shocks till next weeks pay.
