Default clock spring

Someone posted on here a while back how to take the steering wheel apart to replace my clockspring. I went out, bought the part, now I can't find the directions. Can anyone point me to where to find them?

IIRC the thread was about replacing the clock spring, but it wasn't a DIY. Also, I don't think that OP ever came back with a solution to his problem. The thread kinda died off.

From AllData

It's set up for my truck, but the 97 1500 and 97 2500 should have the same steering column.

Oren good looking out for the guys. for the OP please and I stress this please make sure you disconnect your battery and drain the residual voltage from the system so that the air bag is disabled. If that airbag goes off and your head is in the way it WILL break your neck and you will be dead before you knew you had an accident.

Thanks for the exploded view, that should help. The thing I saw before was actually a write up, but it's fine. Should be pretty straight forward.

Thanks for the airbag reminders, one can never be too careful.

Default 1995 Dodge Ram 5.2

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know where to get a clock ring for a 95 Ram? I see later years listed on the internet for around $50, but the dealer wants about $250 for the same part. These shoud be the same, shouldn't they? BTW. Mine has cruise control.

Thanks for your help

CSK, NAPA, AZ. Kragen for about $50 was where I got mine. Still haven't put it in, though. Doing my clutch right now.

Will,

Do you have a 1995 Dodge Ram? I checked all of the places that you told me and I don't see one listed for a 1995.

Does the one listed for later model years fit the 1995 truck?

Thanks,
Scott
