surely you're not serious.
i'd think you'd want a bigger truck. 2500 or 3500

That's right around your limit. It's really pushing it. Your hill climbing and braking are going to suck. Not to mention your poor transmission.
I wouldn't recommend long distances or mountain highways at 90+% load.

Don't even think of hooking a fifth wheel to your truck. Not only are you stretching the absolute max capacity of your trucks suspension, you will never ever in a million years get that thing stopped without some serious brake upgrades. These trucks barely stop when they are empty let alone loaded down with a load like that. Not to mention the fact that you would most likely be dragging your back bumper down the road. You will as mentioned above burn up your transmission in a very short time. The 318 is way underpowered to try and haul that load over any kind of serious hill. Basically read v10/diesel and 2500/3500 for that setup.

That is 7500lbs dry weight without all of your stuff. Why dont you see if you can take it for a test run with your truck up some hills and see if you will be ok..

Sure he will. I towed around 7500lbs before with my 318 and my foot on the floor the whole time. Won't do it ever again
