Time for some sound.
I'm going to do a small sound system in my truck. Head unit new speakers all the way around. This is what I have planned out so far.
Head unit : http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P410...H-P4100UB.html
Front door speakers : http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS6...e-SPS-609.html
Rear door speakers : http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS5...e-SPS-500.html
I plan on running new 14 gauge wires and dynamat the floor and the doors as well. How much dynamat should I buy to do the doors and floor. I'm thinking 12 sq ft should get it done. What do you guys think? I found a sheet of 35 bucks that is 12 sq ft that is 1/8 thick. I'm not going for a super quite ride but the muffler drone is annoying its right next to the cab. I don't need the truck to be a sound monster which is why I'm doing a small up grade. Please post up what you think. Thanks for planning this out chris.

Max, the Dynamat in the doors doesn't have to cover the entire interior to be effective. Yes, that would reduce the road noise better, but the real benefit to the Dynamat is having it directly behind the speaker to dampen the sound waves and stop them from reverberating back against the cone. For that all you need is about an 18"X18" piece per speaker.

This is what I have and I think it offers more. Built-in Bluetooth audio AND phone as well as iPod and front panel AUX input. I get into my truck and my phone automatically pairs with it. I don't have to do anything and when a call comes in I just press one button and start talking. And since my phone supports stereo BT I can play all my music from it without having to connect a cable or adapter. I got mine for $169 on eBay.
