Default Underseat Neon Light Tube Simple Mounting DIY

I'v had a few people ask me about how i have my light tube mounted.

for exact fit, it is a the 10" neon tube, that i bought from auto zone for about $20.00 you can choose whatever color youd like, i just picked blue. and it also has the sound activated option, later tonight ill get a video of it, and ill post it up as well. that way you can see what it looks like, and how bright it is.

from start to finish it took me around an hour to install. (it does include the time it took for the install of the aux. outlet, which took about 30-45 mins. due to some difficulties i ran into.) if you already have the outlet it should only take about 15 mins. or less.

Well here are the pics.

heres where its mounted (under the front middle seat

this is how i have it plugged in, its a aux. 12v outlet i bougth from walmart for like 8 bucks, autozone and advance has them as well. i just splice it in with my normal cigarette lighter.

this is a shot of the end of teh light tube, and where you would normally mount it by.

and finally how it is held up underneath my seat. (i have the cloth from the seat holding it up. its kinda blurry)

Again, what is the point of that light? Do you have disco paties in the cab of your truck? Do you drive down the street with your doors open? I must be gettin' old, but it seems kinda silly to me.

You need to fire your camera man.

The LED dash is looking pretty good so far.
The underseat neon is a bit ricey, but some accent lighting could look good.

LOL 1+ I'd like to think I'm still young, and the whole concept is lost on me as well. The only thing I could see it being used for is to get attention from the 5-0. Where I'm at, if you have any blue or red lights on your truck, you will get some unwanted attention real quick and slickery.

oren- thanks, and theres more coming, but i wanna get my dash finished first.
what do you mean by other accent lighting?

laramie- aroudn here its the same way, although you cant see it from outside the truck unless the doors are open, i dont think anyways. however here in fl, a glow is legal, how ever if the light source (i.e neon tube, or light bar) is visible, then you can get in trouble, but if it is just the glow, then its ok.

miami- there really is no point, it was just sort of a "show" type thing, doesnt really serve a purpose, just for looks, and to improve the over appeal of the truck you know?
