Default 5.9L starving, dies intermittently

So i was driving today and all of a sudden it acted like it was starving for fuel then it pick back up and was fine. I shut it off for the day and when I came back it fired right up drove it about 1/2 mile and then I let it sit and idle for a few minutes. Then it just dies and wont start again. It will fire but not stay running. Is it the fuel pump??

Make sure you check all spark plug wires that they are not touching your valve covers- if they get too hot the truck will just shut off while driving and not start up again until the truck has cooled off. Try this first...

+1 on the fuel pressure test with pressure tester. Next thing I would try is unscrewing the front 02 sensor and see what it does.

Possible but not likely. The pump itself is usually the problem.

I had a similar issue and mine wouldn't die but starve for fuel and lose all power. Turns out that it was my MAF Mass Air FLow Sensor was bad. Replaced it and has been great since. Do you get any engine codes?

Nope, no MAF on these trucks, just a MAP sensor.

That's what I figured. I was thinking "man, where did Dodge hide it? because I've never seen it."
