First oil change on my truck just hit 150,100. Wondering how much Engine oil to run and maybe what kind to run.
Thanks in advance

I tend to run 10w-30 of valvoline or mobile with a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer. Our trucks take 5 quarts with filter.

Run Valvoline Maxlife 10W-30. You can pick up a 5QT jug of it at WalMart for around $14. Then go to Napa and buy the larger Napa Gold 1515 oil filter. If you need any help or need more info, look in my signature. I have a link to the oil change DIY.

Dont run Lucas in your engine (Or anything). It just creates a milky mess on the internals.

I dont notice any milky mess when I drain the oil. My cuz runs it in his cummins. Its suppose to help with the viscosity of the oil or that's what I've read.

The only time you get a milky oil, or a film on the block- that means you acquired moisture in the oil at some point.

He's using that new Amsoil that lasts 200,000 miles. Going 150,000 just to be safe!
