Will have my body shop look at the bumper. Maybe they can paint it silver to match? Or can i buy a new silver one?

 

The rear bumper is rusting correct? In most case the rust in the rear bumper gets so bad its not event funny. I was in traffic the other day and could see right throw one. I keep a healthy layer of mudd back there to keep the rust away. Kinda like and apple a day keeps the doc away. Mine is a nice coat of mud hides dents nicks all the stuff you don't want to see. Plus the chicks loved parking next to me at school last year when my truck would come in dripping mud at 7am. LOL the good days there was mud all over my parking spot. How I miss those days.

 

I will post a pic..but it looks terrible. But it feels solid. It's like the chrome is all peeled off and a bit rusty. Should not even be a chrome bumper on the sport anyway, so not sure where they correct one went.

 

if the rust is not pitted then you could get a flap wheel for an angle grinder and remove all the rust, then primer and paint it. after removing the bumper of course. you want to paint the inside too, so it won't rust through from the inside out.

 

Getting a quote on a bumper. Know of any reasonable places to get one?
