Are they actually 12.5" wide tires, or 305's? The set I had before my current 35x12.5x17's were 305x70x17's which measured 34x12, and they didn't rub at all. Crazy what a measly half inch will do.

olyelr, have you seen the square head bolt on the back of the knuckle? i believe that is a stop so you can't turn the wheel too far. and yours is run in more than 004's.

if you don't know what i'm talking about then i can get a picture of it tomorrow. that is if my truck even has them. my sisters 99 has them and the only reason i know about them is because she pointed them out when she got 285 75 16 tires and they scrubbed the control arms.

I checked mine a while back, and all it had was a "stop" point, no bolt with an adjustment. I thought about tacking on another thin piece of steel, that would probably be enough haha.

sounds like a plan to me. you'll have a smaller turning radius but at least your control arms won't chew off the edge of your tires.
