Default Mystery Solved of ABS and BRAKE light

Hey zman, and anyone else who has possibly gotten an ABS and BRAKE light on and also changed out their PCM on a Dodge. Well I took the truck in to a great shop and they figured out that the code is due to the new PCM. It was not reprogrammed with my VIN, and therefore throws the ABS and BRAKE lights on. And apparently Dodge is one of the few that you can not reprogram very easily. So there is problem one. I am bringing the truck in for the two week check up tomorrow to see if the shifting problem can be solved by the transmission shop. Also, there is a new development, the truck will not start cold without me feathering the gas to 1000 RPMS for about 3-4 minutes. If I do not, it starts up and then dies. But after a good warming up drive, the truck is good the rest of the day. Spark plugs are good, already changed out distributor cap and rotor. Have not changed out the fuel filter, but do not think this is the problem due to it having no signs of trouble any other time. I believe the idle air intake module might not be synced with the new PCM, actually I only believe that becuase I read that as a problem for someone else up on a post. So I am hoping to kill two birds with one stone when I reprogram the PCM. Thanks again for the help, and I hope this can help someone who has had a similar code.

Just realized the link I provided assumes you know the stock position of the cable. I'm trying to find a thread in which I believe Sherriff420 posted the stock directions. I can't find it! Found it,

Sorry if I'm askin a dumb question here, but I notice on the instruction pages it says for 42RE trans, I have a 2001 and I believe I have the 46RE trans. Are these instructions applicable or could you provide another such set of instructions for the 46RE?
I like these instructions, very clear and easy to understand. I don't have any issues currently, just building a "repair" file for my truck. Thank you.
