96 keyless entry

I successfully installed remote start on my 96 a few weeks ago. The kit also has keyless entry which I would like to hook up, but don't know which power lock system I have. I searched and found a few posts, but most were for 2001 rams. Is the electric locks the same in my 96 as the 01?
