Default Coil

Thinking about getting a new coil. Was wondering what everyone thought was the best?

That depends on if you plan on putting a MSD or other ignition box on later.

I have used both Accel and MSD (see the sig). Both are a upgrade from stock, but not like doing a whole ignition system.

some people were saying that the lower resistance on the msd coil was said to fry the computer....

Maybe I had a bad stock coil but I could never get it above 4000 before it would start to crap out.

Kevin, you will get folks who like Accel or MSD and complain about the other. Probably either will work well. I currently have an Accel myself (4 years) but have run MSD in other vehicles long term with no problems. The choice is yours.

does MSD make a direct replacement or do you have to mount it on the fender well?
