The last time I replaced mine it seemed to me like there was no room to install a grease cert when the axle shaft went it, thats why they have a low profile screw to put in it once it is greased.
It was always my understanding that to actually grease them the axle shaft had to be removed.

Its a tight fit but I have plug in my axle joint that I can take out and put a fitting in to grease ,then replace the plug. I may try taking some material off the adapter to make it a little thinner to get to the balljoint easier.
I also thought about using something like this but the adapter that goes on the grease gun it too big. found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT There has to be someone out there that has come up with a fix.(Im still looking)

I know about the needle I have used it for u-joints without grease fittings by going through the seals, I dont think that system would work very well with the preasure required to grease a balljoint. Thanks helms
