i use a thrush glasspack with a magnaflow cat, and am extremely happy with the way it sounds. however, i currently don't have a tail pipe, so the end of the muffler comes right to about 4 or 5 inches from the back of the cab, so i get a lot of cabin noise as well...but once i get a small tail pipe i with a turn down, it sounds really nice and manageable on the sound as well.

this been talked and posted many times, searches are great, but if you want just a little louder + low on cost get a super 44 flowmaster and mount it right below the bed. That way it won't be loud in the cab.

ya right now it has no muffler and the tailpipes are rusted through right above the rear axle so it is pretty loud and echoes under the bed. Think I am going to go with the flowmaster or glasspack and just have it exit out the side in front of the rear wheel, not sure cause that might get in the way when I put nerf bars on.

nerf bars? pfft the nerf bars might get in the way of the exhaust...see how I switched that? I perfer hoops cause they don't get caught up when I go hunting.

My muffler is right by the head of the bed. All I can hear is the muffler. If I buy another gas truck I'm just going to put a cut out on.

i use glasspacks.. and the same side pipe as of right now.. it sounds pretty good.. i am changing it though.. running flowtech shorty headers, magnaflow high flow cat and y pipe, and the glass pack, with the side pipe... so it will sound good...

when i first put my glasspack( cherrybomb) on my truck, i had the hollo cat. nd it sounded so good to me,, got chubb everytime i had to rev out to get through mud... just sounded that good to me

i have nerf bars on mine and i have no troubles if you need more length put on a chunk of pipe and you can make it work no problem.

glass packs sound better than flowmaster and they're only about 20$ each for thrush. i had two of them in place of my flowmaster for a little while until i realized that it sounded much better with no muffler.
