'98 Ram 1500 front suspension
Hey guys, new to the forums here...
I have a 1998 Ram 1500 4x and I'm looking into doing some front suspension work. The truck is going to be a plow truck so I need to do a little bit of an upgrade to accommodate for the 950 pound plow.
Looking for suggestions for the best bang for buck upgrades. Not looking for crazy lift or off road capabilities. Just something that will take the stress of the plow.

Really there isn't much you can do to the front suspension of the trucks. Dodge makes a pretty strong front end from the factory to hold up with plows. The only thing I can recommend is don't buy too big of a plow for the truck. Or buy a 2500 or 3500 for a big plow.
so be sure to run the lighter plow for the 1/2 ton....I plowed with one for three years and it held up great.... but we echanged the heavier plow for the lighter duty one when we went from a f250 to the ram 1500....
Check out a Sno-Way brand plow or a Meyer plow, both companies make a pretty good light plow for half ton trucks. zman17 is right make sure that trans stays cool other wise your won't be moving at all.
