Default Blinker Wires

Ok for those who didnt read my previous topic.

I found a melted wire at the steering column that went into the light switch. what was happeneing is that when i hit myleft blinker is was very dim, and my reverse lights were comming on.

So i have retraced the whole harness and found all the melted wires, it evolved into two melted wires further down the harness. they were the same color grey with black stripe. (both wires) So i cut the melted wire right up to the relay so i have enough to splice. Well i ran the two new wires in and now i have no blinkers. when i hit them, there is nothing, but my tail lights do come on. and the reverse lights are not comming on when the blinker is now now.

So how is that even though i routed the wires back now i have no blinker? if soeone could tell me what wire i could tap into to make them flash that would be great.

Holy-moly bud, I do apologize about that. It was supposed to be a small joke... I thought it was kinda funny as I had started a blinker fluid thread just before I saw this.

If I had a good answer for you I would have stated it as well, but I didn't. Again, really sorry...

LOL, anyway, back on topic.

Sounds like the multi fuction switch may have burned up also. Maybe get one from a junk yard to try.

Sounds like someones stressed out ..... I would suggest you buy at least a cheapo $5 meter if you dont have one and try to trace what wire is actualy flashing your 12 volts if any out of the relay. did you change the relay? how about accidently crossing the two grey and black wires the only other thing I can thing of it check for voltage at the blinkers maybe your ground is out now? mine was out to one headlight and the PO had a juryrigged wire to it .

i couldnt have messed up the wires because i did them one at a time. and no i havent changed relays yet, but i can hear them clicking when hazards are on (i know they are on seperate circuits) and the hazards flash on the dash, but not the lights itself
