Just a quick question:

On that page that shows the available gear sets, there's two sets listed for each. What is the difference between the two 4:10 sets other than the price.

so in the link that was put on and had the kits for front and rear it should have the gears for a 44 in the front and the corporate in the back?

At least that what I've read eslwhere from others who had that setup and it makes sense....
I cant speak for many ram since I bought it this way but I can say when i upgraded my jeep from 4.10 gears to 4.56's with the 32 inch tires it made a huge improvement in power and gas and I got the use of my fifth gear back....(plus it even corrected my speedometer)
would u suggest 4.56 or 4.88 for my truck?

Yup, Ramman18 is right, all 1500s had Dana 44s up front and Chrysler (Corporate) 9.25 rears, regardless if you are a 4x4 or 4x2.

Ram 2500 Front Axles

1994-1995: Dana 44
1996-2002: Dana 60
Ram 2500 Rear Axles
1994-1995: Corporate 9.25
1996-2002 (5.9L V8): Dana 60
1996-2002 (V10 or diesel, auto trans): Dana 70
1996-2002 (V10 or diesel, manual trans): Dana 80

Ram 3500 Front Axle:
All 1994-2002: Dana 60
Ram 3500 Rear Axle:
All 1994-2002: Dana 80

I would say if you have 35's and plan on staying with 35 or 36 inch tires go 4.56.....Its got the best gas mileage and pickup for that size tire..... if you plan to go 38 inch or bigger I would go 4.88's

if you went with 4.88 gear you would be basically in one gear lower for all your gears and basically you would need to go higher rpm's to get the same speed you would get by giving it less gas with 4.56's....the trick is you want to stay in a certian powerband or rpm range. 3.55's are below that range 4.56 is in the middle of the sweet spot and 4.88's a bit high..with 3.55 or 3.92 gears your not giving it enough gas so it will keep downshifting so the rpms go up so it has enough power to maintain or accelerate with too high you will have lots of power but you'll be reving the crap out of your engine all the time and wasting gas..... the benefits are good if your pulling large loads (more torque) and using it like a farm tractor at not so large speeds
4.10 gears may get you the best gas mileage with 35's tires but only if you drive on mostly flat land like and old man and it will drive more like a full size truck with a v6 if that helps.....

Not trying to pick a fight, but that doesn't seem right about the 2500s. My gf has a 95 2500 v10 and both diffs are WAY bigger than mine. I can't imagine Dodge putting the crappy 9.25 and tiny Dana in with a v10 and the CTD for pulling. Something is fishy.
