Question Those thingamagigs

Okay, here's a stupid question:

What is the proper name for those underbody engine compartment splashguards? You know, those flimsy, somewhat rubber impregnated pieces that are supposed to keep excess crud and water away from the engine? I would like to replace mine, but I'm thinking it might be easier (and cheaper) to just fabricate something. Any answers out there?

think He means the ones betwwen the plastic fenderwells and metal body or on each side of the radiator I ripped out recently to give my CAI a chance to actually get some cool air.. the other ones are long gone on mine when I got it so not sure how they look.
are you doing a restoration?....not sure they really do much (minus the ones on the sides of the radiator.)

No,no,no,no. They are located inside the engine compartment and attach to the frame rails.

Actually, Auggiedoggy is probably right. Sorry, I don't type very fast. Same material, but lay horizontal next engine. Believe it or not, they do great job of keeping water and mud out of the engine compartment. Not a restoration but it would be nice to have some again. Lost 'em went I went trailblazing.
