Default tires/power

Ok, i know this has probably been posted before but i couldn't find it using search, so I'm going to ask. I have a 1996 1500 360 5.9L with tow package, and 3.92 gears, plus LS rear end(Speaking of that is it a clutch type or gear?). Anyway im looking to put 285/85/R16s on it(Muds) I do A-lot of hwy driving(15 miles each way to town at 70+mph also running fire calls... So if i toss a leveling kit and then the tires how will my truck handle?(Power wise).... oh and fuel econ wise lol.

thanks

Josh

I have the same motor, gears and size tires. My trucks gets 12 MPG and maybe 14 on the highway. My tires didn't make any difference on mileage but they aren't a heavy lugged tread pattern. You may loose a little on the MPG's but it's a trade off if you want and need the tires for off road use.

it should be as sluggish as stock 3.55 gears with 265 70 16 tires (which isn't terrible compared to putting 285 70 16 tires on the stock gears)
lsd is the clutch type.
