Default i smell gasoline

I smell gas when I take off in my ram. I took it to the stealership and they said my fuel system is fine with no leaks. They also say they don't know what else could cause the smell I am smelling. That doesn't make sense to me, so guys please help.

It's probably running rich, because the plenum is blown, the cat is going or gone, along with the pre cat o2 sensor. Those probs are things that should be checked regardless. You may also have a leaking fuel rail , injector o-ring(s) or even a leaking fuel line connection to the fuel rail or the cross over hose going from rail to rail. All of which the fuel might evaporate before it's seen. A fuel pressure tester will help you figure this out.

49lbs give or take a couple. It should hold the pessure for quite a while. Also, start it up when it's cold for a couple seconds, shut it down and look around and see if you find a leak.

Hopefully you have a test port on the driver side of the rail.

Should be the only port with a black cap on top right?

There should be two rail looking tubes on either side of the TB, extending all the way along the intake manifold. They will have a tube connecting them in the back, behind the TB/manifold.

There should be a black, tire valve stem-looking type cap on the driver's side rail, about a quarter of the way or so from the front. Make sure and bleed the pressure BEFORE you plug anything into the test port, there is a lot of pressure there. Follow the procedure from the Haynes manual, that will tell you exactly how to test the pressure safely.

Maybe the rollover valve on the tank is leaking or the top seal on the sending unit.
