Default oil capacity
hi, ive searched the forums and can't find anything on this. i have a 97 1500 with a 5.9l, and was wondering how many quarts of motor oil it holds.

w/ my dads truck if only 5 is put in, he needs to add a quart before the next oil change

The Haynes manual says 5 quarts.
