Driver Side Ticking
Figure I would say hi to everybody, been getting info off here for awhile and figured 'bout time I joined.
I just replaced my rusted out headers with Summit shorty smog headers and now I have a ticking coming from the top/side of the engine (driver's side).
Believed it to be the supplied gasket so I just spent 2 hours changing it out to FelPro and the ticking is still there
Need some help with this one.
Thanks,
Oren

Looking at my Hayne's, the two middle stud bolts have something to do with keeping coolant from leaking out of the head. I replaced the double-sided studs with straight up bolts, could that be the problem?
Thanks Jason.
I'll keep an eye on the radiator temp gauge on my way to work this morning as it seems to me that it's running too cool.
Have to think with all the edelbrock headers guys use on here that someone has encountered this problem.

Thanks sheriff, I've tried everything and that's the only thing that makes sense. Just pulled the dipstick ram360 and it's clean oil, not a sign of coolant. Looks like I was just worrying over nothing lol, thanks.

Summit markets them as their own headers, but they have a Pacesetter badge tack welded on the front tube. The supplied gaskets did seem to leak a little but the FelPros have been trouble free so far.
