Default Shocks?

I posted another thread a few weeks ago on the vibration I was having at about 40 to 50 mph. Since then I've had my tires rotated and balanced and the vibration has actually gotten worse. I has the passenger side rotor turned and new brake pads on both sides of the front brakes. That took care of the pulsating in the brakes. But now I get a vibration at 40 mph that is WAY worse than before I had the tires balanced. Could this be worn out shocks bouncing as I drive?

I have the same issue, however, my shocks are new Bilsteins. My guess is that your tire(s) have slipped a belt, which either the tire place doesn't see or refuses to recognize.

I agree. When I'm barely rolling along in traffic I can feel this bumping as I roll forward, almost like going over a small pothole in the road, but the road is smooth.

Jack it up and spin the wheels using a piece of 4x4 or big hammer placed close to the tread of tire.
My guess you will find the culprit.
If that is it get that thing off!
I've had belts break at 70 MPH! Definitely not safe!

I've posted before too about it, but I can't seem to fix it. New shocks, new rims, new tires, balanced and aligned... bouncing still exists.

I get it as well but only at certian speeds and not always....seems if i slow to a certian speed and hit a small bump it sets everything in play for the rear to start bouncing...if I speed up or slowdown it clears up...
Shocks are on my list of things to try.

Skip the shocks less they truly need replacing. I tried new ranchos all around, then even swaped out the rear pair of rancho's for a set of coil overs to make the back end stiff. Still didn't solve the problem.

Default bounce

I know you had your rotors resurfaced, but I know that one of the things that can cause this is warped rotors! I had the same problem when I had my dodge after I got my tires on. I ran into another dodge owner who told me that the rotors are soft on the 1500's and can warp or bend if the lugz are tightend to much. I don't believe that a resurface would fix that? Also if you have bigger tires try to find a shop that can balance them on a bigger machine. I replaced both front rotors and had the tires rebalanced and that shimmy went away! My shimmy was at 40 as well.

Is the bouncing in the rear? Put about 500 lbs (Or your wife! ) in the bed and see if it helps.
