Default fog light failure

my switch recently failed for my fog lights, and rather than getting a new switch i was thinkin about putting in a new switch for my fog lights, that way i can also run my fog lights when my brights are on. any suggestions and how simple of a job is it...anybody done it? i've done a little bit of wiring in my day, but not enough to say i'm super experienced, just want to make sure i don't screw anything up. Thanks

why not just get a new switch and do the fog light mod.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...Q5fAccessories
here is one for 24$ with 13$ shipping. 25$ is a common price on ebay for them

and here is the fog light mod: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...light-mod.html

when i installed my new bumper lights i ran them and the oem fogs off a relay and the factory fog light switch activates the relay. so when i pull my switch the bumper gets pretty bright.

are you sure its the switches fault. my fogs stopped working and it was because the wiring harness under the bumper has a few opens in it.

in that case, break out the multimeter. mine showed 10.4v with the switch on. now mine are getting 12 though because they're connected directly to the battery.

yep, ebay is great for little things like that. and the people that determine the 500% profit margin for dealership parts ought to be brought out to pasture and beaten with a louisville slugger.

$65 for a switch at the dealer sounds like a good deal in my book. But maybe because I just feel better with an OEM Mopar switch instead of some no-name.
