Default ram 1500 and 2500, dif??

whats the difference between the Ram 2500's and the 1500's some have the same 5.9L magnum engine so whats the difference, is it just the numbers?? i always wondered about this

Yeah, it's just the numbers.

Seriously, the main differences are in the drivetrain. Heavier duty axles, beefier frames, heavier suspensions and higher load capacities. There are also things like heavy duty charging and cooling systems and larger gas tanks. And you can't get a diesel or a V10 in a 1500. A 2500 with a V8 is considered a light-duty truck, but still heavier duty than a 1500 simply because it will have a higher towing and hauling capacity.
