Default block heater

hey guys I have a 2000 dodge 2500 with the 360. The other day i was driving on a road that they just had ran a skidder over and had a stick jam up underneathe my truck and rip off the chord into the block heater to plug my truck in. So was wondering if I am able to just replace the chord or does the whole unit have to be replaced?

I'm assuming you have a frost plug set up, from what I understand you can just replace the cord and not the heating element. Hope this helps ya.

Was the cord literally ripped off, so you'll have to splice some wires, or... ?

Because yes, thats doable.

Yes that is what I was asking if you are able to just replace the chord.
Thanks
