Unhappy 2000 Ram 1500 4x4

Its burning oil like a *****! Dont know what the prob. is...no drips or spots in driveway....no smoke....drove probably 50-60 miles and lost about half the dipsticks worth! Somebody, anybody with some knowlege, please drop it on me!

plenum gasket...oil goes thru the motor...and the cat catches most of the smoke.

you never see it coming

...also, look at your drive shaft and rear end... are they cover in greasy dirt???

if so, valve cover leak at the back of the head. will leak down the tranny and the wind will sling it, along with road grime and dirt, onto everything under the truck. however, will probably never drip in the driveway.

ppl tell me plenum like you said....valve guides....intake gasket.....all kinds of stuff...so which would you suggest first?

plenum gasket, take a look down into the manifold, if theres a pool of oil the gaskets gone
