Rain getting into door.
Augie - you may be right. I didn't look at that one. I'll look at it tomorrow but it's a 100% chance of rain so it might be a little difficult.
I tried to search ebay but didn't see any for a 99 Ram. Maybe I didn't type the right thing in the search though?????

Rained all day today. I took a quick look at the seal on the inside/outside of the window and it looked fine. No signs of the material being worn out or deteriorating.
I guess I have to pull the panel off this weekend and look.
Any other ideas in the mean time?

I finally had a chance to investigate. I had already pulled the panel off earlier in the week. So, I went ahead and pulled out the speaker. Everythign looked fine. No apparent connection issues. I took a shop towel and kinda duct taped it onto the back side of the speaker and reinstalled the speaker. I then took a hose and sprayed the outside of the window for about a minute. Took the speaker back out and the towel was soaked.
So, now I am a little better off but still a bit confused. The black strip of the window seal/sill looks fine. I didn't spray up high enough so I don't think it's the weather stripping in the door frame.
The inside weather seal comes out no problem. I pulled on the outer seal and it didn't budge. How is it removed? I don't have another one to replace it and I don't want to mess it up worse.
And more than that I would hate to order a new one (aren't they ~$50) and have it still leak. I just don't understand how it is not sealing anymore but looks perfect??????
Any ideas?

And also forgot to add. My problems are just beginning. When I had the stero speakers installed last yr the guy told me my drivers side pad (under the carpet) was soaked. I figured i might have left the window down a bit too much in some rain, etc.
Well, it's still soaked. Thank heavens no smell. I don't think my above issue is realted because water inside the door wouldn't be able to get under my carpet, would it?
Are there any common reasons to how water would get onto the floor?

Not sure how I can check a leak coming from the 3rd brake light. Maybe I can feel under the bench seat in the back??
Is it possible that the water that goes into my door somehow comes out on my drivers side floorboard under the carpet???

I found a place that goes the firewall that I siliconed and so far, no water has gotten in.
I also ordered a new window seal strip from LMC and it leaks as well. I have no idea on how to stop water from entering the doors.

Then whoever put it in obviously didn't seal it with the glue properly.
Did you use weatherstrip "glue" you can get from an auto parts store?
If yes, then you didn't use enough. If no, get it. Its fixed my door leaks before... the upper stripping comes loose every year at some point, some more of that stuff seals it again and fixes it.

No, I didn't. I'm not entirely sure any type of glue would help. the only place I could glue it would just attach it to the door better. the problem appears to be between the strip and the glass. I would get some pictures later but I don't know if I could capture it very good. But maybe I'm just not sure of exactly what you mean.
