Truck stalled in road
Hey guys,
I drive a 96 2500 v10 2wd.
I was backing my truck down the driveway this morning and came to a stop before entering the road. Once the coast was clear, I pulled into the road and dropped it into drive once the truck had come to a complete stop. Once I put it in drive, it just died on me. It was almost like it just shut itself off. No lights on in my dash, nothing. I turned the key, started it up in drive, and drove to a parking lot nearby to get out and check on it. Everything was running fine so I took it back to the house after running some errands. Any ideas as to what could have caused a stall like that? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that's what has me confused, he said he had no lights, that's a connectivity issue it sounds like, not an engine issue. And how were you able to start it up in Drive? am I to think this is a Standard Transmission? If it you are driving a Standard and it stalls isn't that user error? (lol) But if you had no lights on or anything that's weird. Because I know when my Dads Explorer stalls on me, It has its dash lights on ect.
mines been acting weird too since the battery went completly dead on me the other day....I figured it may have something to do with the computer reprogramming and learning... stalled a few times though...once when actually driving on decelleration.
No lights came on for my gauges, my check engine light did NOT go on at all, etc. I started it up in drive just fine, and no, it is not a manual. It felt like the truck literally shut itself off. I'll probably check the connections on my battery this weekend when I am home from school.
