Unless your going forced air 24's seem to work on everything you can do to these engines

I believe 2000 and up came stock with 24# injectors and 1993 to1999 used 19# injectors.

The injectors from the newer rams 2000-2002 will not fit on the 94-99 intakes. I bought a set and they are different. You can buy new electrical ends for them for about 50 and buy some adapter sleves to weld into your intake for 65. So If you want the newer injectors just pickup an intake form a junkyard from the newer ram.

the 2nd gen intakes are the same except for being egr and non egr. The injectors should work fine. The injectors might be different as in the connectors but the end going into the intake should be the same. Not sure why you had an issue. Unless you got a set from a 02 which would be different but 01 would be the same
