I need a catalytic converter for a 99 5.9
Gutting it you might have a problem with the post cat sensor only. You can do the sparkplug non-fouler trick, or Fastman sells 02 simms. As far as mileage goes it will go up a little maybe, if you can keep your foot out of it.
The one halfamil posted is if you have a dual inlet, single outlet converter. Around 1999 or so, they changed the exhaust design to a larger single inlet, single outlet converter. Double check your stock exhaust system, see what you have. Do it visually, don't let a mechanic look it up in a computer, because Dodge never documented this change (evidently), as every mechanic I ever took it to didn't believe me until they got underneath and looked.
If you have the latter:
MPE-94009
MPE-94109
The 94009 has a 16 inch case, the 94109 a 13 inch. Thats the only difference.

That may or may not be the one I got.I put 1999 for his model.Don't remember the part # I ordered but, it was a magnaflo direct fit from Summitt and it did fit.
