2500 in a 1500
Sorry guys tried searching the forum but it dosent seem to want to work for me, and I tried google but couldent really get a straight forward answer. My question is a simple one, if I swap new or used 2500 v8 springs into my half ton how much lift should I expect to gain in the front end? Basicly I'm looking at all my options for leveling off the truck. As well is it really necessary to chance out shocks? I plan to in the near future but will it be okay just to ride on the stockers with the bigger springs? Thanks guys.

Did search it but nothing came up for me, if you read my first sentence it said that I had tried that and did a google search but I couldn't find a straight forward answer. And if you took the time to look at other threads you would see that I'm not the only one having problems with the search feature. And why would you have a thread started about coil spacers, which is a more talked about subject then coil springs off a 2500? Take your own advice and search it!

Thank you for the help. I just wanted to use the coil springs as a way to level the truck since I found a set for cheap. Thanks again for the help man.

Make sure you use the V8 springs, otherwise you will need to install add-a-leafs in the back to level it back out. Also, the diesel/V10 springs will require new shocks. You may be able to get away with the stockers with the V8 springs.
When I put my diesel springs in my truck it need two add-a-leafs to level it out, and the shocks were completely maxed out (they would top out just hitting a small bump while driving down the road).
