Red face 5.7 Hemi 07 in our rigs?

Saw a craigs listing for a 5.7L Hemi engine from a 2007 light duty truck for sale. Was just wondering if anyone knows the work involved to swap out, can it be done, and etc. Just my mind thinking...thoughts?

Would I be condsidered a 2.5 gen truck then?

i highly doubt anything matches up. i know new computer and wiring would be needed. i dont think the trannys are the same, motor mounts are probably different.

i have no doubt that it would fit, and if you can find a good donor truck than it would be a sweet swap. but with just an engine it would probably more work than necessary

I dont think our stock tranny can hold up to the torque of a 4bt or 6bt. I've wanted to do one for awhile, such a cool mod.

A buddy of mine back home did that exact thing. 6bt with an allison tranny and ford 9" rear in a 98 dodge ram 2500 body with about a 6" lift and 35's. Bad *** truck but it was a lot of work and $$
