Default suspension questions

will i get lift by installing 2500 front springs in my 1500? how much?
how about the rear? i am gonna be swapping axles anyways and figured if i gained any lift i would swap them out aswell..
where can i get some affordable control arms or find the measurements so i can make a set?
how can i tell how much lift i have now? i bought the truck and they didn't know how much or what kind and i looked but there is no names how can i find out how much lift there is?
what would you suggest as far as getting an adjustable track bar?

You will get about 2" from a 2500 v8 coil spring, about 3" from a v10 or diesel coil spring. The rear leaf springs from a 2500 wont work in our 1500's because their wider. A good way to do a cheap lift is to get your hands on some 2500 v10 or diesel coil springs which will give you about 3" up front then buy some add-a-leafs for the rear to lift the back end.

wrong they will work but you need the shackles from it too. this topic is discused all the time you could find a whole donor truck with good suspension from a 2500 and put it on including the shackles and leaf springs

For the wider leaf springs to work, you'd also need the u-bolts and associated hardware from the donor truck.

I am still trying to find some V10 or diesel coil springs...amazing how such a simple part can be so hard to find!
