i put it on and made about a 1 mile run to get the transmission fluid hot enough to get an accurate reading and the idle wouldn't drop below 1k.
i unhooked the battery, held the key down for about 20 seconds then turned on the lights for about a half hour or so.
then a little while later i made about a 30 mile run and it was the same thing, won't drop below 1k rpm.

the tv cable seems to be adjusted right.
the gas pedals cable on the throttle body has about 1/8" of play before it starts to move the pedal.
the cruise cable is the same as before also.
i'm thinking that the IAC isn't plugging that hole enough, what do y'all think?

Not enough run/drive time to relearn? I read you cleared the ECM, but not enough time to relearn?

i figured that might be it also but every time i've changed a sensor and reset the pcm, it re learned within a couple miles. but i do know it can take up to 200 miles so i'll wait until it hits about 250 before i start to worry.
it does sound really good idling around 1000 rpms though.
