Default Wish Me Luck...Plenum Fix

ok so im doing my Plenum with the hughes plate and intake gasket kit today. i already have everything apart except the manifold, and fuel lines.

This is my first time attempting something like this, but its going very smooth thus far.

I never knew i had a plenum leak. i always looked through the tb, andnever saw oil. well once i got the TB off today, (cuz i wanted to huges plenum plate it anyways) thats when i saw the oil.

So for those who dont think thy have the plenum leak. take the TB off all together to get your best visual. looks can be decieving as i have now learned.

I hope nothing will come out wrong during this. but at the same time im doing the plugs, dist.cap, rotor, wires, coil, and the other valve cover gasket. (did one yesterday and found the bad intake which lead me to do this)

please wish me luck, i always run into a problem when workin on my vehicles. but its going smooth as i said **knock on wood**

Hopefully this works...

when you put the stat on, remember to burp it. some people forget and when the temp goes up, they think it's a defective stat. the stat itself should be positioned in the inset of of the manifold. if you have any doubts, go and practice at the boneyard.

Make sure you use the tightening pattern listed in your Haynes or FSM manual.

yea i got the fuel rails off, i wsnt pulling up hard enough (didnt want to damage them)

all i have before i take the intake off is that damn pipe that goes to the exhaust in the back, i cannot get the friggen thing off.

other than that everything has gone good. everything is clean. (spent 2 hours cleaning all the sludge up.)

and i have a haynes repair manual, and bought a torque wrench, soi know the tighten pattern

and yea how do you burp it? when i did my WP, i just filled, put heat on full blast started it, an added accordingly and i had nice heat and ran at a constant 195

im gunna get some pics of my work up
