Default Need help on a NP231

I have a 95 Ram with a 5.2 and manual trans. I just pulled the driveline and replaced the clutch and pressure plate and the only problem is im trying to replace the transfercase cause i only have four low. Ive looked around and its very difficult to find a 231D for a manual trans so i brokedown and bought one for a 99 with a/t. Ive noticed some differences like absence of the speedo pickup on the tailshaft. Any help will come with my eternal gratitude since shes my only transportation.

Without the speedo cable connected and getting you a speed reading, you're not gonna go very fast. I'm not sure if you can get an older tail shaft for that tcase or not. A t-case from a 95 auto would work I'd imagine but you bumped up to a different animal. I believe the 99 is a OBDII and that's where a lot of the electronics and signals changed. I wonder if you can swap your tail shaft from your old one onto the new one and then reinstall your speedo gear.

Pull them apart, see what's broken in yours, replace with good 231 parts...
