Default Just picked up my first Dodge Truck

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Xcab, short bed. 205k

Not an ounce of rust on the body and I want to keep it that way. How many of you have rhino lined (or linex) the bed, over the tip of the bed, along the rockers, and the fender lips?

What headlights are a good upgrade from the stock clouded plastic. And how can I tell if the tranny was rebuilt or not?

Thanks,
Jesse

205k I'm sure it has been. Ask questions about it.

Wax the crap out of it. You can never have too much wax on a vehicle.

Nice truck, welcome to the forum.
www.summitracing.com is a good place to start looking for just about everything.

welcome to the forums

i had a friend who took off everything from the door, so it was just a shell. he rhio-lined the Inside of the door, then from the black strip down (outside) he rhino lined it to the back of the truck, and it looks great IMO. little "over spray" on some portions but looks great

Make sure the 3rd brake light is not leaking. And since the doors rot from the inside out, every time you do an oil change squirt some of the old oil into the bottom of the doors and they will never rust. (not too much or it will seep out for days).
