Default Mopar valve covers

Well yesterday we got around to checking the clearence of my stock valve covers with the rr's. Of course they hit so I need to order some new ones. I was looking at the Mopar ones that everybody has. On Summit they are listed as stock height. I don't wanna get them if they are not gonna clear either. I thought they were taller then stock or what makes them different?

Thats how you check them. You put them on with no gasket and turn the engine over with a ratchet. If they move you need taller covers

you can turn it over by having the ignition wire off the coil

Its the baffle in the stockers. The mopar ones dont have the same baffle and have more clearance.

that would require you to have the engine in the truck. Plus I wouldn't do it that way cause if you don't have the clearence your wacking your stuff
