Arrow Anyone Hurculiner their bed and rockers?

Line-x is the way to go, but I don't have $500 for the bed and an additional $1000 for the rockers. Who has hurculined their own bed? Who has done it to their rockers? Any pics? Tips?

How long did the application take?

I did a search on Hurculiner and only found 2 threads. One was a Dodge Neon who hurculined their rim. The other was a 3 reply thread with no pics and he just did his rails.

I herculined my bed and tailgate for $100. I did all the prep work (even used a 40 grit wheel on the bed to scuff everything up good). After about a month, the herculiner started shrinking and I could see the bed paint. I called Herculiner and mentioned this, and they sent me a 2nd kit (with UV ray protection) FREE. I've yet to put it on.

In summary, I would rate herculiner as follows (scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being superior):

DURABILITY: 3. It did shrink a little and it has flaked off where I have hit it with a shovel. Still ok, but not a 5
COST: 5. For $100 nobody can touch this stuff
CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5. Again, Herculiner (Old World Industries) send a free kit ($100) to my house no questions asked
VALUE:4. While the herculiner is not as durable as line-x, rhino etc...for $100 PLUS a 2nd free kit, their product is awesome.

i herculined my bed too.
i also didn't put the uv protection on because i was told that it was just to keep it shiny. the customer service at herculiner said that the uv stuff is also to keep it from shrinking and looking like a dry lake bed.
i called and they said that they would send a new kit with a free bottle of uv protection but i never got it and i need to call them again and tell them that they forgot about me or something.
the herculiner failed the hammer test, but it has a grip like sandpaper. you can set a 5 gallon gas can in the bed that is only 1/4 the way full and drive 45 miles and it won't move an inch.
for 100$ you can't complain. if you tear it, just slop some more on the tear and forget about it.

it is 100$ because you have to get the 75$ kit (which has a gallon in it) and you have to buy an extra quart (20$) because the kit isn't enough.

remove all the rust/scuff with 60grit sandpaper. then clean with acetone or xylene.

apply the first coat and let dry for 3 hours or so.

apply the second coat and let dry again. this one will just about use up all the herculiner.

this is where you would want to put the uv protection on, but i didn't because i was mislead about the purpose of it.

Spend the money to get Rhino lining, lifetime warranty on any chip or in anything that needs to be filled, I have it on my truck and it looks great, better than any herculined bed I have ever seen.

if you do go with rhino, make sure you check out all they have available.
they have different colors and two textures. one is hard like a plastic drop in liner and the other has a rubber texture.
