3000 for the scan tool? my boss got his for 6200, but it cam with all the hookups, (benz, BMW, nissan 1 &2 etc.)

6200!!! WOW!! I will only pay that much if I owned a auto shop.

Well sure, depending on software/options ect, you can blow alot more than $3,000 on one, but for average use you would be able to get a bad *** setup for 3 grand.
If I had $$ to burn, I'd have one on my list.

he does own the shop....he has almost 100K worth of tools in there, it would amaze you on how many tools he has, he has the other scanner from Snap-on, the one that measures the ohms and stuff, that was 5K

Took it for a quick drive around the block and it hums or whines between 10 to 25 and when i step on the pedal it feals like it is slipping a bit cause it doesn't do anything but increase the rpm's... when i feather the throttle

How many times are going to see people post on here "NOT" to use that or any of that garbage? All it does is mask a more serious problem, and you end up broke down in the middle of nowhere.

zman im sure u read through the symtoms that i have with my tranns if it's that at all, what are your thoughts would adjusting the bands work or will that just cause more problems down the road . I wish i never bought this dam truck bin a headache .

I would have the codes checked for sure, and it is possible the cat is clogged(but usually that means it just won't go over a certain mph) no whining though ( you can unscrew the o2 sensor in front of the cat for a very short period of time, to see if there is any change). It can't hurt to try adjusting the bands, it might prolong the life of the tranny a little before it needs a rebuilod. Plus you"ll see what's in the pan if the fluid and filter have not been changed recently.

I beg to differ, it can hurt adjusting bands.
At least one member, purple dodge I believe, toasted his tranny doing just that.
